Marita Cheng, Founder and CEO of Aubot, a company specialising in telepresence robots and robotic devices for care and empowerment, highlighted the critical role of perseverance, dedication, and commitment in achieving success and reaching career goals.

During her keynote address, titled "Harnessing AI and Robotics for Positive Change," at the 10th Dubai International Project Management Forum (DIPMF), Cheng shared her inspiring journey of relentless effort, which earned her the title of “Australia’s Genius.”

Recognised as one of the Top 50 Women in Technologyby Forbes, Cheng outlined several key traits essential for success in any field. These include confidence, a passion for innovation, a focus on research and development, and an unyielding curiosity to explore and deepen knowledge. She emphasised that success lies not in stopping at discovery but in continuously building on it with fresh, innovative contributions to drive progress further.

She also highlighted her current accomplishments, particularly in training individuals passionate about electronic and robotic engineering. Cheng shared that she had overseen the training of thousands of students worldwide and remains dedicated to advancing robotics designed to support People of Determination through cutting-edge devices and applications.

Cheng commended Dubai’s exceptional infrastructure and the city’s outstanding progress in architecture and urban planning. She mentioned that she frequently shares images of Dubai’s iconic landmarks with her students to inspire their studies in engineering and architecture, showcasing the city’s unparalleled creativity and innovation in design.
