The keynote address at the Dubai International Project Management Forum, titled "Future of Project Delivery: Achieving Sustainability through Digital Collaboration," was delivered by Mark Webster, Senior Vice President at Oracle Construction. In his address, Webster emphasised the pivotal role of sustainability and the integration of digital tools in advancing construction and infrastructure projects. He stressed the importance of adopting advanced planning strategies and conducting comprehensive market evaluations before embarking on construction initiatives.

Webster highlighted the transformative impact of artificial intelligence in overcoming challenges on construction sites, reducing time and effort in design processes and reconstruction activities. Webster stressed the value of drawing lessons from global infrastructure practices to tackle challenges like population growth. He cited UAE and the GCC countries as outstanding examples of regions excelling in infrastructure investment and setting global benchmarks in the field.

Webster stressed that current investments should prioritise clean energy solutions, robust databases, and expanded electricity generation, given the expectation that future electricity demands will double. He emphasised the need for the construction sector to focus on project growth rates, scheduling, material quality, and detailed project timelines, leveraging technology to optimise efficiency and reduce construction time.
