Previously, Timothy led key strategic partnerships at Google X Moonshot Factory where he worked on applying the most advanced technologies and methodologies to create new pathways to market for vital innovation projects. At Waymo, he prepared the commercialisation and launch of the world's first fully self-driving ride-hailing service.
Timothy is also the Former Chief Innovation Officer at San Francisco MTA, implementing urban mobility technology centred on sustainability, social equity, and climate action principles. He is an expert in automated smart city transitions, and the impacts and benefits to streets, real estate, work culture and the broader economy.
He serves as a trusted key advisor and mentor in several emerging technology spaces including crypto, AI fintech, and web3 support systems. Timothy is an advisor for Stakeborg’s web3 and crypto investment and education platform and a senior partner at Monaco Foundry, a first of its kind platform that increases the early success rate of sustainability focused, and minority lead start-ups through accreditation and unique web3 support systems.
Always one step ahead of the curve, Timothy’s private, public and community experience allows him to see the signals and trends early and join the dots to develop unique perspectives and insights. As well as big picture thinking, he shares how to put ideas into practice to build win-win partnerships and deliver forward-thinking initiatives. He also considers what a sustainable future looks like, sharing examples of cities around the world using bio planning to build infrastructure and create movement in a way that remains in sync with nature.
Alongside transport, his expertise intersects with many other areas of interest including emerging technologies, the changing world of work and ESG. Timothy speaks passionately about the opportunities that blockchain and the metaverse provide, including sharing examples from his own industries such as the use of digital twins to create virtual test spaces for new projects. He also looks at how the move towards working from home disrupts commuter patterns and shifts the ways in which systems run.
