Founding Principal, Project Management Essentials
Alan Zucker is the founding principal of Project Management Essentials. He shares his extensive experience and provides coaching, consulting, and instructional services to businesses around the world. He is a thought leader and has authored over 100 articles on project management, agile, hybrid, and leadership. He is a keynote speaker, regular podcast guest, and often quoted in the industry press.
He is an adjunct instructor at the University of Georgia, the University of Virginia, and George Mason University. Alan also works with the Foundations for the Advanced Education of the Sciences at the National Institutes of Health and has developed several project management certification programs.
In addition, he works with leading international project management training companies and provides foundational and advanced project management and agile certification instruction to individuals and Fortune 500 companies.
Before founding Project Management Essentials, Alan was a director of project management at a Fortune 50 financial services company. He led major strategic initiatives and a project execution organization and played a leadership role in the enterprise’s agile transformation. Alan holds a master's degree in Economics from the University of Maryland. He has PMP®, PMIACP®, Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master (DASSM), and Coach (DAC) certifications from the Project Management Institute. He also holds advanced certifications from the Scrum Alliance, Scaled Agile (SAFe), and the Agile Leadership Academy.
